What we actually collect

Three things, and nothing beyond them. The cost calculator on the homepage runs entirely in your browser: the service type, urn choice, viewing option, and ZIP code you enter are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. If you fill out the contact form, we receive whatever name, email address, and message you type, solely to reply to you. Beyond that, like almost every website, we pick up standard technical signals, browser type, approximate location, device, and which pages you viewed, through cookies and analytics tags.

Advertising cookies

We run Google-served advertising on this site, and Google and its advertising partners set cookies to decide which ads to show you based on sites you have visited before, including this one. Analytics

Google Analytics tells us, in aggregate, which pages get read and how visitors move through the site, which is how we decide what to write next. If you would rather not be counted, the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on blocks it.

Visitors in the EU, UK, and Switzerland get a cookie banner on their first visit, and nothing non-essential loads until you respond to it; you can change your answer at any time by clearing cookies for this site. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask what personal data we hold on you, correct it, delete it, or opt out of its sale or sharing. Who else sees your data

We do not sell what you submit through our forms. It goes only to the vendors that keep the site running: our analytics provider, our ad network, and the form-delivery service that routes contact submissions to us, and only for that purpose. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as we need them to respond and keep a record.

Children

This site is written for adults planning for themselves or a family member and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone that age.
